If you aren't checking references.....

...then just tell the client that you don't need them. I'd rather you not involve me by telling the client that you verified him with me when you did nothing of the sort.

Thanks very much.

You would be surprised at the number of ladies that don't really check references. Hell, there just glad you showed interest and want to set-up a date.

I hate it when the guy asks which provider we verified him with...I simply say, I have my ways of screening and I prefer not discuss it. I normally ask for refs, but if I don't know or trust the ladies he supplies, I have other ways of checking him out.
I'm curious as to what all is considered a "reference". Are okays on P411 insufficient? Seems like it would be somewhat difficult for the providers to be expected to vouch for someone they saw months in the past unless they were a regular.
I have to agree with London.....

I don't disagree necessarily, but you could just say that to the client instead of telling him you talked to me when you didn't.

It would never occur to me to ask that question. It seems silly to dwell on the business end that long. I mean we are paying for the suspension of disbelief and the illusion of passion. Maybe that is why I like P411 so much. I give you my secret code, any other screening info you might need as long as it isn't as intrusive as DNA analysis and an IRS audit, and then rapidly move on to pretending we are long lost lovers.
Actually, it is quite common for me to ask how reference went. Having tried over some years to cultivate good relationship with providers, to hear self well spoken of is quite pleasant. It is the vanity of the elderly to wish to go to grave well thought of.

I too get a sense of accomplishment when I have left a good impression on a lady.... and the new provider tells me how the references went...

Hmmm. . .their orgasms and smiles are all I need for any sense of accomplishment.

Even if those deserve an Oscar nod.

I just can't help but to wonder if putting importance on references beyond the lady using them to screen for her safety (and ours) isn't partly to blame for some of the drama folks have been discussing. It turns the reference process into an unhealthy token economy if you catch my drift.

I know I am a bit of an outsider since I only visit the the region and hobby here, but perhaps the distance gives me an objective perspective? I am sorry if it is stepping on toes and I am sure there is a bunch of backstory that I don't know about.

I just wonder if the reference process were kept more discreet and succinct would it make all parties involved happier in the end?

Sometimes ignorance is bliss.
