You ladies using social media to "market" your services...

...may want to reconsider that decision:

How Facebook Outs Sex Workers

This specifically addresses Facebook, which is probably the most egregious offender, but frankly I wouldn't trust Instagram (owned by Facebook), Twitter, or whatever Google is hawking to try to replace those, either...

Twitter is most prominent among providers, to network and put out alerts on a National level. Locally it’s here.
I got a “Friend Recommendation” from Facebook for an ECCIE provider that I had visited. I am speculating that since I had called the provider on my phone Facebook figured this was a person I might know.
I should get a hobby phone.

The article was very interesting. The subject is good to be aware of and to think about reducing the chances of that happening. Thanks for the info bluffcityguy! I've wondered about how Facebook doing this.

Here's a link to hopefully disentangle contacts...it took me forever to find this, -and hopefully it works...and stay vigilant, I've heard that unless you enable restrictions in your phone's settings, it will reset every time you log in.

This really sucks...nowadays it's probably safer to delete a FB account than wait around for them to realize that most people usually prefer to dexide for themselves who they want to associate with.
Honestly, I cannot understand how this feature actually made it through conception, development, and implementation without anyone realizing that it maybe wasn't the wisest of ideas...??
When I was in the military my little slice of the pie was directed not to utilize Social media other than skype and email while deployed and sometimes they were off limit. Social media is great for social engineering. For some reason they don't have a problem with it in NK.

I tried Facebook once, and it tried to connect me with all sorts of people I never heard of. They try to not only connect you with anyone you have ever had phone contact or email contact with, but with everyone those people have ever had contact with.
They try to get you to give them your phone and other emails under the pretense of being able to contact you it something happens to your account. What they are really doing is collecting more info on you.

Never have been on Twitter. May have to some day, but tire of yet another site where you have to set yet another password.
Before I joined this website I had followed a couple girls on Twitter. Some of them charging anywhere from 250-$2000/hr!!!!!! To think, y’all complain about the prices here? Ha

For me, personally, $350 as an hourly rate is about as much as I feel I can afford (and even then, I'm not going that high unless the lady's reviews suggest that she's the second coming of Madame Pompadour behind closed doors).

If a lady wants to price herself at $400 or above, she's getting to the point that, personally, I'll find other ways to spend that money. No hard feelings--she certainly has the right to charge what the market will bear--but I don't concede my right to comment (implicitly negatively) on such pricing, especially in a market (like the mid-South) where I don't think there's sufficient demand for (or ability to afford) high-dollar services.
