Social media on BP

All,
Just wondering what or why the latest trend of posting a link to the social media ( instagram, FB, twitter, Pinterest ) accounts on BP.

Just curious, just not sure if the topic of this has been discussed here

those can be fake as well...

They have to put a social media link in their ads per BP regulation. They are mostly fake

Yes it is a requirement. Some girls already have social media and use that without a problem. Then there are girls who make a fake account like Phrasing said. Then you have the group of girls who use their civie information without thinking it will show and it does.

it is literally the dumbest thing in the history of dumb things. whether someone believes this is effective in some way or whether someone is doing it just to make someone believe it's effective… like, let's say the justice department is demanding more accountability and so this is something that bp put in place knowing it was silly.... but it satisfies whatever requirements are placed on them…

it's just stupid. some of these girls are literally putting the facebook homepage in as their social media link. lol

We do not have to put our social media page it's an option like a pic or a video...
the girls that put one up THEY ARE CHOOSING TO POST IT...LOL
NOT A REQUIREMENT GO LOOK AT MY AD IT'S NOT ON THERE. Because why in the hell would I do that????
I'm posting the ad as proof that IT IS NOT REQUIRED IT IS AN OPTION....YOU got some big old time names and posters saying something that is not true... IT IS AN OPTION NOT A REQUIREMENT Been in this business 17 yrs I post daily all over this country so please believe me when I tell you they are doing it as an option.

I did not know this. Interesting. But I don't use BP very often. I might check into here in Amarillo tho. Thoughts?

I believe it is required in the women seeking men, men seeking women part of Backpage. Just like when you go to view those sections it required to agree that you may see sexual material. Under the massage section it is not required. Therapeutic.

Yep...your right dirt street.. on 6-22 it was NOT REQUIRED.. BUT TODAY IT WAS....LOL I Hardly ever post in that section...My section is free from that mess today anyway guess face book will be getting alot of fake accounts

It is a requirement. Ladies are also allowed to use their own web site I believe. My understanding is that the w/m section on backpage will be deleted in six to eight months. There's too many people lobbing to have it closed. Sad.
