The toys I like probably aren’t sold there

Pretty soon there will only be Walmarts and amazons. All speciality stores will soon be gone.

You can also buy fixtures and equipment that are in the stores:

shelving, pallet jacks, pallets, furniture, anything that is bolted down and not bolted won.

I used to love to build model airplanes and other military machines like tanks, ships, etc when I was a kid.

The plastic ones and the RC one for the airplanes.

I haven't done that in 30 years and it was also because less and less stores started carrying the plastic models - they were not in demand anymore.

Sad. As a kid I remeber the thrill of seeing Geoffry the Giraffe commercials before Christmas. One-stop shopping for my parents. As an adult I'd still go in for next generation and pick up some old school games for myself as well.

The end of an era and SADLY, another major retailer like many before it such as Radio Shack, CompUSA, Circuit City, Wilsons, Blockbuster Video, Montgomery Ward, gets phased out into history.

Better question would be:
why did you feel compelled to monitor and question topic threads in a sandbox?
The Sandbox is a collection of off-topic discussions. Humorous threads, Sports talk, and a wide variety of other topics can be found here. If it's NOT hobby-related, then you're in the right place!
