Belton/or South KC??

What is the hobby scene like in those areas??
Or Platte City? Kearney??

South KC is OK. Stay near 435 though.
Forget Belton and Kearney, both just to far out.
Platte City is marginal, it's another 15 minutes past the Airport though, so you should look at Airport area strip hotels off hwy 29, just south of Airport

Hell some be happy with s KC/belton. Makes the trip lot shorter

Zona rosa or Herras area is good also.

I definitely think platte city would be a waste of your time money and effort.
