New Kitty in New Mexico!?

Hello everyone!

I’m From Central Arkansas, I’ve never been out your way but I’m thinking about changing that if all goes well.

What is safe and what is not safe, staying wise? I need all the suggestions and tips I can get to make this a trip worth returning and remembering!

Have a wonderful day!

Hello BabyDallass! Midtown and some places by the airport tend to be the safest! Though everything can be so subjective. Albuquerque can have surprisingly high crime rates. It makes cheaper hotels a bad option. I hope you have a most wonderful visit!

Thankfully I don’t stay in unsafe or cheap hotels anywhere, I think most are scary now days anywhere you go.

Thank you for the recommendations!
Rio Rancho is very safe.

Many will not travel all the way out to Rio rancho. It’s a suburb. Best to stay in albuquerque.
Midtown is actually called 'Uptown'. Louisiana Ave North of I-40. There is a Marriott, Hilton Garden, Sheraton and a couple others in the immediate area. Lots of restaurants and shopping. Hope you have a good visit!

I would love to do the hot air balloon rides, but 4 hours is too long to me for a ride in a ballon. I’m sure it’s fun though!
I made it.! Wow, what a beautiful city you guys have. The sunset here was gorgeous today.

Where do I go to get the best green chili? I heard that is a must while I’m in town!
Big fan of La Salita chile rellenos, give 'em a try! And welcome!
