If you need Trump to have full credit, then let them call it off and re-resolve it after 1/20 amd using a framework that has no ties to the Biden admin. Hopefully no one dies in the interim.

I didn't mention trump, so why do you assume I "need" him to have "full credit"? Don't assume such things. It's premature for anyone to claim credit until the hostages are freed.

My point is that it's a sign of US foreign policy fecklessness and drift when an outgoing administration needs to be shorn up by the incoming one. A competent departing admin would say stay in your lane and stfu until you're sworn in, in the meantime we'll keep you briefed for a smooth transition.
