It goes both ways cc. This sounds like a good idea the Trump administration had to lower drug prices to levels paid in other countries. I think it would have had a much larger effect on prices than Biden's proposals:

The Biden administration pulled the plug on it. Admittedly lawsuits by pharma companies had something to do with that. However it sounds like the White House didn't pursue this as strongly as it should have, because it was a Trump-era policy:

This is something that should be bipartisan. American drug costs, and health care costs in general, are out of control.
