Why am I running into providers who want to charge clients for references???

I have recently run into this issue when needing or requesting verification for recent clients I have never seen. Since when did charging a hobbiest for a references request become a thing??? I am sorry it is NOT that hard to look to see if you have seen a client when all the information is given to you in a text, pm, or email. This is not like requesting your medical records to be released from your doctor..smh!!
Has anyone else had this issue???

Upselling is the norm for providers today, and this is one more thing they can upsell from their donation.

The days of all inclusive donations are basically over.

I'll bet the other gals say cause it takes time to respond to a reference request. This is not the 1st time I've heard about this

I've heard of it in the past. I'm curious how that's supposed to work.

Provider reaches out to Mary123, Mary says she needs money from Hobbyist to give a reference?

That being said, sounds shady as hell to me. This is about mutual safety, and you gonna fuckin charge for it? I say name the providers telling you they need the hobbyist to pay for a reference.

I'll give out refes for anyone I have seen for free.

As much as I hate to say it but I have to agree with WEC.

Those of us that are still in this "hobby" for the "hobby" is getting smaller and smaller.

I'm willing to bet that there are guys willing to pay for the reference. Some guys will jump through every hoop these gals toss out. As for the gals charging for refs, they would charge for sunshine on a sunny day if they could..And there would be guys who would pay for that too.

I believe it. I mean on the one hand, I cant blame them.. they are trying to make money. But.. on the other... if someone I used as a reference comes back and says I have to pay whatever for her to give a reference, I guarantee you, I will not see her again. And no, I wouldnt pay the fee. I would just leave her on read and move on. Im just glad I have a few regulars that would give a reference if I needed.
