Anyone here own Bitcoin?

I remember when it first came out. You could buy one coin for $20. I wish I would have loaded up then. I thought it was a joke. But it’s not a joke anymore. I don’t have any but I do own some lesser known Cryptos. It seems to be a divisive topic amongst investors. People like Buffet and Munger think it’s a scam. Saylor and Blackrock are scooping it up.

What say you??

BTC always has been volatile. It’s now trading under 89K after reaching above 100k. Those of you that own it, are you holding or selling?

Holding. I bought in very early so everything is gravy for me.

Treated it like a meme and movelty at the time, but unlike some folks I didn't buy a pizza with them that would leave me with long lasting regret.

Doubt as you desire, idrgaf

Some ETH, some DOGE, and I have stacks of real gold and silver, too. A pretty decent coin collection. A diversified portfolio of other investments. No need to chase the dip unless I feel like it.

You do you. I'm content to hold.

Anyways, I doubt BTC will ever go to zero. As Buffet, Munger and Jamie Dimon have predicted. Nor do I think it will go to 13 million as Saylor has predicted. It has been volatile. As far as crypto, I have Theta, Theta Fuel and a few Veritasium. They’re not currencies or stores of value. But have strong use cases. And are hard to get. Especially Veritasium. Veri is an interesting story.

I did quite a while ago, at least 10 years. Donated all I had, like 2btc total, to a torrent site that I used to get a shitton of content from. It was worth a couple hundo at best. Not long afterwards that shit skyrocketed, they’re probably still paying their bills with it. Never bothered after that, only ever created a wallet for donations.
I do have some. And by "some" I mean what I was able to mine in 5 years. Lets just say I won't be quitting my job anytime soon.
To me it seems like a Ponzi scheme. Bitcoin to my understanding has a certain amount out there and that’s it. So the price is determined strictly by what the sellers/buyers believe it’s worth. Makes zero sense to me.
Crypto being mined by super computers solving math problems and so forth?? WTF is that??!
