I Told You So

Well before the election of 5, November, 2024, I wrote that the Democratic Party should do a switch and drop both Biden and Harris. I said it sometime in the first six months of the Biden presidency when it became obvious that he was not capable le of being an effective executive. I aid it several more times in the course of his presidential term. I proposed that the party’s power brokers should look to the succession events of the Nixon administration back in the 1970s. I showed how they could replace first VP Harris and then President Biden with someone of their own choosing, and do it without having a primary or any real voter involvement at all. . . . . .and possibly get twelve years of the same hand picked administration as well.

The response was dismissive, often abusive. The party power brokers, and back room string pullers delayed and stalled on this, focusing instead on various ways ofpreventing former President Trump from ever holding office again. It is my view that this effort should have instead been focused on replacing, first VP Harris and then replacing President Biden with the Harris substitute. This misplaced effort continued well into the 2024 election cycle until President Biden’s s advancing cognitive disability could no longer be hidden\, dismissed or denied by anyone. In the end. “they” were forced to make the last minute switch to Harris without the fig leaf of Constitutionally sanctioned process. Everyone on the left had to say that Biden had “chosen to step aside” for the good of the party, when everyone knows that he was coerced. Everyone also knew that Harris was an abysmally suboptimal choice to replace Biden, but couldn’t say so in compliance with the DEI norms of the Democratic party. . In following this haphazard strategy, the party was saddled with Harris, ensuring a Trump win in November.

Tell me where I have gotten that wrong.

Replace a Black Woman with someone they really wanted? That wasn't going to happen.

Who is there on the Left that has more than a couple of working brain cells that would have been better than Trump. No one was going to volunteer for that suicide mission after Joe's disaster and against Trump?

That's why the first debate was scheduled so early, so they could use that as an excuse to get Joe out.

They picked her, they were stuck with her. It would have been cool to watch the meltdowns back then watching a DEI hire get replaced by some white guy (probably, who else is there???).

The "installation" of Joe worked so well they thought they could make work for anyone, including the drunk mentally handicapped. Thankfully their machine wasn't as foolproof as they thought it was.


Left has never been accused of being the brightest bulb in the box.

And as Pertpvy just explained - they were STUCK with Kamala.

And let's NOT forget that Joe Biden had NO INTENTION of stepping down.
Nancy Pelosi had to threaten Joe to get rid of him.

But, no matter - water below the bridge - TRUMP Won anyway...

The real irony is that you can totally blame Democrats for Trump 2.0 being stronger and pushing a whole lot more change through now than his first term. In fact, Trump sitting out 4 years actually gave him time to get a plan in place to get rid of deeper layers of the swamp that were controlled by Democrat bureaucrats for way too many years.

The Dims thinking they would win, regardless of whom they presented for prez was a critical error.
They easily could have figured out that Zombiden had to be replaced a year or two before summer 24, and actually had time to present a viable candidate.

In the case of Joe Biden, they "made him an offer he could not refuse."

These things can all be figured out.

Things like thishave all been done.

Remember that last summer, there, attempts were made to remove both presidential candidates from the race within a period of two week or so. Trump's came first but he refused to get the message, choosing instead to "fight, fight, fight!"

After Butler Ohio, Biden saw what was possible and just caved when the question was put to him.

Joe Biden absolutely did not choose to drop out of the race because he really wanted to.
