It's asinine, it will be challenged but the nature of TPS is temporary so anyone on TPS should always be prepared for the end to come. If any of these 240k have an alternate path to stay, they likely won't have a lot of time.
Let's remember that this was set to expire next year and the admin could have just let it expire naturally.
