South Louisiana visit?

I am driving south to Florida in a few weeks. I thought about stopping in a few cities along the way. Anyone have suggestions? I typically stop in LC then go East. I might spend a day or two in NOLA on this visit.

My vote would be for the Hammond/Covington area.
