JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - If you gathered 100 Mississippians in a room, statistically, at least 1 of them has an STD.

The STD rate, depending on your source, is around 1,200 per 100,000 Mississippian, or 1 per every 100. The state has long been plagued by high rates of gonorrhea, chlamydia, and HIV.

In years prior, Hinds County had the dishonor of having the highest STD rate of any county in the country.
You are absolutely correct and some providers think herpes or other easily concealed STDs are just normal and not needed to be disclosed.

If in doubt or wanting to do anything even remotely un covered gentlemen please ask for a recent STD test and be sure to have your own as well. You may even get a discount by already having yours ready & able to text.

I get tested on the regular at an MEA clinic, if you give a good reason your insurance will cover it.

This is reasonable advice for any state or location your end.
