Just looking for schooling on this:
I seem to have been locked out of the thread I started, "Not the Democratic Party I Remember".
If I have violated a rule, I would like to know so that I can avoid doing that again. I strive to be civil and focus on issues other than personalities.
Please help me out here.

The Staff does not have the ability to lock Members out of a Thread.
Likewise, I am unaware that Members can lock themselves out of a Thread.
I see nothing in the Audit Trail for the Thread that shows any edits have been made.
What error message are you receiving when you try to log in tot he Thread?
