The party of Small Government sure seems to be liking Big Government

National guard being mobilized in almost 20 states. Gee, didn't you guys say that if Obama or Biden did this, it would be the end of the country?

trump withholding already approved CHIPS grants to Intel in order to blackmail them for 10% stake.
Gee, the part of small government really likes it when their small government starts to take control of private companies! That's called an oligarchy, class.

Did anyone own any intel stocks? How do you feel about the us government making your stocks with 10% less? They didn't 'buy' 10% of the open shares. They made more shares just for trump.

But I guess this post would really make some people upset, if they could comprehend it.
Again, it's a cult. That's the explanation, and it really isn't any more complicated than that.

They all like big government now because Dear Leader. Of course, he could also take a shit in their mouth and they'd give his asshole a Michelin star.

These are not serious people who love America or respect the rule of law (fuck the Constitution, too). They want a particular brand of authoritarianism installed here, and as long as they are not personally harmed by it, the more the merrier.

How does giving guys in the NG something to do equate to expanding the government? Those guys are already government employees, they’d be training or doing some other busywork. Could make sense if they started recruiting for that specific purpose, but they haven’t.

I don't have a single problem with the NG or army doing good deeds for the public good. Nobody does logistics better than the Army. They should deploy during times of national disasters along with the NG who can keep law and order as well as getting relief to the areas that need it most. Why do we have all those resources and then keep them locked down when they could really be doing good for the ppl affected. I don't think they should be deployed without consent of congress, since an asshole like TRUMP could deploy without a reason, or with bad intent, but if you have some safeguards built it,- then fine.

Of course things like Army Corp of Engineers do a lot domestically but speaking specifically about times of disaster- not just civil unrest- those happen for a lot of reasons, and if ppl get physical or destroy shit- then yes, Im ok with those deployments too. Like in the west when stores were burned....likely needed more physical presence.

I know why people riot==in most cases, it's because they are not being heard or don't have a seat at the table or for racial tensions etc. But those emotional responses- don't have to be riots, they usually start out mild and go to wild when the police just hammer those they are told to keep in line by yet again - politicians.

Burn down Wendys, because it hurts whitey, until your bady mommas need to feed their kids, but the can't because you looted the grocery stores and pharmacies too.

Comepletely surreal.

I had a Vietnam flashback, and I was only there in movies.....

But let them train for inner city warfare, because that is WHAT the poor sheep in our inner city are dealing with.

I have no drone, but if I did, I could likely rig up some sort of IED to harm people from above if I wanted too.

How long till that happens in todays environment, and frankly, I'm surprised it hasn't happened.

But what they do have, is full auto Glocks, every time I see inner city arrests, half the time the perp has a machine gun, its very easy, and all you need is a 3d printer.

I don't think you truly understand just how well armed the bad guys are, or you wouldn't be caught dead in the city, until your found dead in the city.
Nobody's hiring protesters. For fuck's sake 🤦🏻

Politicians that abuse their “emergency” powers are treating their serving constituents as political pawns in the process of showcasing their conservative credentials.

What our conservative governors are doing kowtowing to Trump’s military theatrics is definitely outside the norm and possibly illegal unless Trump claims their deployment is legal under the insurrection act.

It also takes away funding from the military that should be being used for other purposes.
