The Gun-Controll Left Loses Another Stereotype.

So the Charlie Kirk assign did to use an "assault rifle."

The Mauser K98 was adopted as a military rifle by the German Army in 1898.

It us manually operated (not semi-automatic) and has an internal magazine holding five or fewer cartridges.

Nearly anyone wh has ever shot a deer could have made that shot . . .with open iron sights, although he shooter did have a scope.

This is exactly the type of rifle that the gun control crowd always says they would never ban or confiscate.

And the shooter was a nut who bought into the ethics barren quick sand of transgender politics.
Sigh...already been tried...and rebutted...

Rebutted what? The model rifle or that it’s not one of those leftists slobber all over themselves to ban? Both of those things are indisputably true so it’s unclear what you think was debunked.

My uncle, now deceased, brought back several firearms after WW-II. He was not a shooter, and they lived in a corner of his closet for 50-60 years. On his death, my aunt had them sold off. I am thinking that, prior to being sold in the early 2000s, these guns were not on any list any where.

If the UVU shooter's rifle was a similar "bring back" and not a gun imported well after the war, it is quite possible that it was not on anyone's current registry and so would be nearly untraceable. This is speculation as the details of the rifle used are still vague and shifting in the press.

Most gun control activists that advocate for assault rifles to be banned do so because of the number of shots that can be fired in a very short time period.

No one is saying that a bolt action .30-06 calibre rifle isn’t deadly but rather high capacity semiautomatic weapons can be much deadlier to the public even in the hands of a moderately capable shooter.

I’m not sure what stereotype you believe has been debunked?

Alot of guns have no records here. And to make it worse, these 3d ones have put gas on the fire for gun control.

You don't need a modern weapon to throw the lead of a semi.

I got one that's over 100 years old that'll put out more .30 calibre projectiles than a fully auto AK-47.
So much for 'losing the stereotype'

A suspected stalker armed with a rifle hid inside his ex-girlfriend's home in the rolling farmland of southern Pennsylvania and ambushed police officers who came to arrest him, killing three of them in a shootout, a prosecutor said Thursday.

Two other officers were seriously wounded before police shot the suspect to death in a hail of gunfire that capped a 15-hour ordeal after a trail camera captured an image of the suspect, armed with an AR-style rifle, peering through a scope into the house Tuesday night.
