AMPs are basically places that are storefronts. Also you might not have all services available. Maybe just HE. Studios are everywhere else, like hotels, motels, houses. Full service availability is pretty much guaranteed with prices known beforehand.

AMPs require house fee + tip. While studios usually give you hhr and hr rates that are all inclusive with no tip required.
