Dropped by there on my way home from work to validate the rumors, and took pictures of the notices.
Long story short, random fire inspection is the official reason it was closed. Surge protectors plugged into other surge protectors, so that was an automatic fail, and the workers said they were living on property, which was ruled as "not allowed by the certificate of occupancy".
The place was shut down immediately, and the certificate of occupancy revoked. Needless to say, I don't think we'll see another AMP there anytime soon.
That said, I really think people need to slow down on the Hinton reviews. We don't know if it was legitimate fire inspection, or if they caught wind and ended up manufacturing a reason to close down. Best thing we can do right now is to keep our mouth shut and lips sealed.
EDIT: I gave the notice of Occupancy Revocation a read over, and one line sticks out:
> "The City has received multiple complaints [since the issuance of the Certificate of Occupancy] regarding potential violations"
It seems that the inspection was indeed caused by increased activity. In other words, SHUT THE HELL UP.
