Threat call from LC pimp

I usually don’t do LC because of situations like this. I was just hitting up whoever some reply, some don’t. At that point I didn’t even know who it was.

But today I got a call from someone claiming I owe them 3 grand for wasting so and so time which honestly made me laugh. I guess that pissed the pimp off even more because he started saying he was going to come after me and my family (which I don’t even have, lmao).

I just told him, “I’ll be waiting,” and hung up. No texts or calls after that.

Has this happened to anyone? Genuinely asking —lmfao this is the first time I’ve ever gotten something like that. (Another reason why you don’t use LC.)

Also, if you have time review your texts.. it seems to be girls who you may have had a discussion with then couldn’t agree on deposit or something like that. Usually it’s 2-3 girls who will say the same thing meaning the manager is handling it for them.

Yes - these calls are actually becoming more common. And I would agree with Ez12luv_2.0 that it seems to be a latina / spanish thing. Numbers that call you are from another state, and it's not the number you had reached out to. So if you made several inquiries then it would be hard to isolate which number they posted is the source. I wouldn't threaten them, I just play dumb and then hang up immediately and block their #. Happened to me about 3x in the past year. One time they called back immediately so I just blocked it, others have not called back. If our Prez caught wind of this he would just blame it on Venezuela....

Are these calls happening to your hobby number? I use TextMe which is a disposable number, and the number rotates if I don't use it consistently, and I also delete the app off my phone if I'm not actively hobbying.

It took me reading the email 3 times to start noticing all the grammar mistakes to realize it was that damn prince in Nigeria looking for another way to move his fortune (or make a fortune).

It's absolutely not a pimp and it usually happens (at least for me) when they start to ask for a deposit and I go ghost; making me infer that there wasn't a real girl to begin with. After hitting up some latinas on LC, you'll probably get a few calls or messages from these 'pimps'

Guy called me and said he was going to kill my mother (Said her legal name).. I told him kill the bitch so I can get my inheritance. He broke character and started laughing his ass off.

Rarely a month goes by that someone doesn’t report a similar call or text in one of the oh2/eccie forums. It’s as common as dirt, almost always follows a reach out to an LC ad, and never results in any dire consequences if the threat is ignored.
