Sleep

How many of you more mature individuals have experienced a change in your sleeping pattern as you age? I've always been a morning person and used to wake around 6:00-6:30 but after 50 something it's not unusual for me to be up as early as 4:00 am. The down side is when i wake up that early I'm falling to sleep on the recliner around 9:00-10:00 pm, thus starting a viscous cycle of early mornings! W(ho)TF ever came up with that golden years BS?
Exactly same thing has happened to me, now 52, at 50. I thought it was from hobbying

I"ll be turning the big 50 later this year and can relate to your situation.

I even once worked graveyard shift a number of years ago and that cycle finally wore off too. But the older I get them more I gravitate towards this pattern.

Wait until you guys get into your 60's. Wake up at 3:30 or 4:00 am, fall asleep in the recliner reading the morning paper, nap in the afternoon, and to bed at 8:30 or 9:00 pm. Work in hobbying and golf somehow. But I am always rested for the beautiful ECCIE women.

I'm in my mid 50's and began to sleep less about 10 years ago. I can only sleep about 4hours at a time. I bed down about 11pm, usually wake up about 3 or 4, watch Bloomberg for an hour, sleep another hour or so and get up at 6 to 6:30. I have a lot of energy and don't nap at all.
Same thing for me....I'm in dream land as early as 8:30 PM. Always up early.
