Alerts?

So I am coming Wednesday to Abilene.
I decide it would be good to go to the alert section see if there are any bust or stings and if so what area.
I was surprised to see just info on girls that stand guys up and back page ad pictures that are fake...
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm m

Just hasn't been too much public LE activity hun. When we hear of it we post it. My next door neighbor is LE and tells me lots of stuff but even he says that December has been boring. Too much watching for Christmas crimes and such.

As I recall from ASPD, events considered "alert worthy" included LE activity, risks to health or physical safety, and theft of funds or services.

Bogus photos, multiple identities, and NS/NC's are certainly worthy of discussion in other forums but probably don't belong in ALERTS.

Just do your screening, and be careful. It does not feel right, then don't take the call.

Thank you Choca <><><> kisses sweety I deleted all ad that said that. Been doing that fundraiser for 11 years so sad. Still will do it but won't say the name I have about 50 toys now. And on New Years I collect wine for the elderly it is just something I enjoy to do. BUT TANK YOU I will be careful.

I was recalling a culture that no longer exists, that is the forum that was ASPD, (may she rest in peace). I haven't seen any clear guidelines here on ECCIE, so you're not necessarily out of bounds. I happen to agree with the old ASPD guidelines, but that's just my opinion.

Your efforts to contribute are nevertheless appreciated, even if I do believe they probably belong in some other forum besides ALERTS.

But's it's not as if West Texas ALERTS is flooded with traffic, thank goodness.

Opinions are like A-holes, we all have them and we all have to deal with them! So here is mine for what little it is worth...

To me, ANYTHING that could possibly take away from a safe and secure hobby is very appropriate in Alerts. That would include LE activity, theft of service (which fake and or misleading ads could be construed to be theft), heath and safety issues, and any other thing that makes our little corner of the world a little less pleasant.

The one thing mentioned that I agree should not be in Alerts is NC/NS. Seems Coed and/or Reviews is the place for that.

Correct CK, on all counts including NCNS need to be in Coed.

Issues which could endanger the safety of a member or members of our community go here. Please reserve this space for legitimate alerts, and not general FYI material.

Yep I am loving west Texas more and more.
