So how's that public education working for you?

It is why we are going down the shit hole lower the bar. We need to go back teaching kids like they were years ago, just not to pass tests.

We need vouchers. Parents should have the option to send their kids to private schools or government schools. Without competition, government schools have no incentive to improve. Monopolies never produce quality.

Here's a quote from a really smart guy:

I believe very strongly that if the country gave each parent a voucher…several things would happen. Number one[,] schools would start marketing themselves like crazy to get students. Secondly, I think you’d see a lot of new schools starting…. I believe that they would do far better than any of our public schools would. The third thing you’d see is…the quality of schools again, just in a competitive marketplace, start to rise.

Get the federal government out of education and return the money to the states.

We need to abolish teacher's unions. Many government school teachers get tenure after two years and become essentially impossible to fire. Teacher's unions don't give a damn about the kids. They just want better benefits and more money. Considering the intelligence of the average government school teacher, they're already overpaid in most cases. Many government school teachers could not hold a job in the private sector. Colleges of education attract the students that can't get degrees in more challenging fields of study. A degree in education is about as meaningful as a degree in women's studies, philosophy or French poetry.

You will not get them as long as you have unionized socialists running them.
It is all part of the plan to dumb down America.

Actually, for the most part, it is the wealthy and educated who recognize that unions are the problem and want to fix it, not ridicule them. And ironically, the poor and uneducated are generally the ones that want to keep unions in, and therefore, keep their offspring just as uneducated as they are. Very strange...
When you blame the unions remember there were people on the other side of the board. If they got too much(and some did) someone with their head up there ass gave it too them.
