Visiting Provider Rates Too High?

Over the last year or so I've talked with a few visiting providers on here and P411 that were posting 350-400 per hour with no half hour option. When I told them the going rate in KC was around 200HH and 250-300H they seemed to get pissed off that I was negotiating with them.
Do you think 350-400 per hour is too much?
What do you consider to be the acceptable rates in KC?
There is no such thing as 'acceptable' rate, it's what someone is willing to pay and what a provider wants to sell their services. I personally will not pay that, but that is my personal choice, many others might think she is worth and easily pay that price. Capitalism at work!
If no one pays it, will the product sell? Will the rate go down or the seller go away? Supply and demand?
This is a topic frought with trouble on all levels. The price will reflect what the market will bear, as well as the value the provider puts on her own time. If you do not believe the fee a provider wants for her time is of value to you, then find a provider that does or save up your pennies until you can see the provider you want. The KC market has been averaging 100-150 for hh of time, 200-250 for an hour of time, with variations around those numbers based upon what a provider believes is an equitable number of appointments she wishes to handle in a day.
Remember, too, that visiting providers have extra expenses that the local providers do not normally have to deal with - cost of transportation, lodging, hotel and/or restaurant meals, entertainment during break times. All those added expenses usually add to the fee the provider charges for her time.
As DarkSide said, it's pure capitalism at work.
A provider is a independent contractor and charges what she thinks her services are worth. The menu is what she is comfortable with,If you don't care for either don't call....
If they get pissed off let them they aiways have the option of saying no. Some guys have deeper pockets than others.
I think we all understand capitalism, but the question was would we pay it?
NO!
Why would I pay $350-$400 for someone when I can get a great double for less than that!

Why would a person pay for it? Well, it is kind of about exclusivity, in my opinion. It isn't that their skills are somehow exceedingly greater than someone else's... but the person buying their time does so because he can afford to do so. I have a friend in the hobby who thinks I'm crazy for paying what I pay. I tell him that I do it because I want time with that particular girl... the rate is just the means to get there. And, if I have the means then I'll do it.
There are few girls in that upper bracket that I feel would be worth it to me. However, my pockets are only so deep. If I were making a few more grand per month, my tune might change.
Plenty of people will happily pay it. Just because the frequent posters don't like to doesn't mean there isn't a thriving market in that bracket.
This board is not an accurate reflection of the entire hobby scene in KC. My most spendy clients either have accounts and don't post or don't have accounts at all.

they have travel costs so are typically a little higher, if you don't want to pay the price stick with the local providers, if people are not going to pay the rate requested, the traveler will either lower her rates or pick another city
I look at it like this. You can eat a hot dog at home and it may not cost much (your spouse or GF). You go to Sonic's (local ladies) for a footlong which is better than the regular hot dog at home and it cost a little more so you only get one once a week or maybe once a month. But the traveling ladies (some of them) are like the fair or carnival coming to town, yes the food is higher but it's only going to be here for a week or so some people spend the extra. Because I'm just a poor man I like to eat for free most days of the month and if I see a showcase that peaks our interest (little head and big head) I inquire about the basic info to see if I can treat myself to something new...

I've paid it in the past and will in the future. Depends on the lady and my desire.
Sometimes it was worth it and sometimes not.
