Reviews

Just curious from both sides perspectives on reviews. I hate writing them so much so that I review only a small percentage of the ladies I see. I currently only do them to help a new provider out or to assist with my screening process.

What are your thoughts on reviews?

Hard to argue with that philosophy. I feel like it takes as long or longer to write a review as it does to have a session with a provider!! IMO

Aunt Ellie made a run at me with my reviews on ASPD...I vowed never to review again on ECCIE...They tried to convince me that the reviews were as good as a confession to prior bad acts....however I fed them with so much bullshit over a 4 month period that they finally gave up the fight and released me from my worldly bondage...and I never gave them any info that involved anyone else in the hobby...stay our of court, and I kept from being classified as a level one...fuck the pigs!

I am grateful for all the reviews that I can find, but it is just not for me...I come from the age of word-of-mouth, and from a previous life from the other side of the coin...in the seventies, there were no review boards or chat rooms about sexual partners or exploits...I relied very heavily on my mistress to pair me with the next client...oh, how I yearn for my younger days! This old bag of bones, that is my shriveled husk of a man, just sucks!

So,

Would anyone post a review if there was a chance that it might be discovered by your SO (or, worse, her lawyer)?

Yikes. . . .

I love reading reviews, both mine and other provider's. I really get a kick out of some of them...

From the provider's perspective, they help immensely with business – assuming that they're positive, of course.

Personally, I try to use each review as a way of learning and honing myself – Reviews help me gain an outside perspective that I genuinely appreciate. They help me learn to emphasize the particular aspects that my hobby friends appreciate and view as positive, and they also help me learn from the negative. While no one likes to be criticized, constructive criticism can be very helpful.
I agree that writing a review can take a little time and be a bit of a pain, but I also believe that it helps the provider, no matter how many reviews they already have. I also believe that it helps in making a first visit to a provider more comfortable for them and myself because most providers will read some or all of your reviews during the screening process. It lets them get to know me a little and lets them know a little about what I expect from the session.
"Ginger Doll" I love reading reviews, both mine and other provider's. I really get a kick out of some of them...
I have a review coming up that I will be posting in the co-ed section so that everyone, including all of you fine ladies will be able to comment and reply to. It's All Good...LMAO

To me, the reviews are there for the simple purpose of letting everyone get acquainted a tiny bit before they meet for the first time.
But then again…… technically…. Aren’t all reviews and posts here on eccie fictitious and intended for entertainment purposes only.

Some of us rely heavily on reviews to pick out the best ladies to date. As long as there are a good number of positive reviews, I have never been steered wrong. I like writing reviews. Sure, it takes some time, but I am smiling the whole time dreaming of the sweet memories. I wish I could write a lot more!!!

Reviews are the fuel that drives this ship of fools. They warn of danger, identify new talent, point the way to safety, and save the hobbyist hours of time and thousands of dollars. Without reviews the board is little more than a sewing circle at the rest home filled with old folk discussing what they used to do but can't or would do if not afraid. Careers are launched that should be and some get ended that shouldn't have started. They let the hobbyist know who to see and sound an asshole alert for the provider as clearly as a klaxon in a fog bank. Besides all that, many are just fun to read.
Women can read the non-ROS part of reviews. Any provider who cannot tell from the comments whether she got a good review probably cannot find a hard penis in a dark room and ought to be in another field of endeavor...police work perhaps.
I have written a few reviews, but have not experienced any police harassment. Perhaps I should check the review mirror more closely. I had assumed those people following me were trying to get those movies back I kept when Blockbuster went under.

Providers can only read the public portion of reviews. The ROS, just like on other boards is reserved for those who have earned or paid Premium Access and in my opinion is extremely valuable in making a decision who to see.

There have been and always will be rumors of providers discovering the contents of ROS, whether it be via a White Knight or through obtaining a second account with PA. Of course, duplicate accounts are not allowed and when discovered ("ve have our vays"), the provider, or hobbyiest, for that matter gets to take an earned vacation from the board, the length of which is determined by the severity of the violation.

I'm both confident and grateful that 'your vays' most likely include methods that focus on actual facts, rather than ungrounded, accusatory assumptions.

I refuse to acknowledge any more negativity. It's putting a damper on my libido.
