Local weatherman

omahansa's Avatar
Word on the street is a local weatherman who liked to wear flowers on his suit was caught up in a massage parlor sting with several local cops. Some of the cops were even brass, captains etc. and it was handed over to FBI because of of the high ranking cops. Is this the 72nd massage parlor or something else? Any info? Inquiring minds want to know!

Marcus, as you mentioned this was the topic of a thread in a restricted area of the board. This has been the topic of some rumors and hushed public speculation here locally. However to the best of my knowledge the weatherman in question has not been officially charged with a crime, so I don't know if it is appropriate to discuss this matter further here in an open forum since everything is just mere speculation.

My thought is that it is probably a false story, if there anything to it, I would guess that it would have been made public a long time ago.

I was not aware of the Facebook post, but I do know he was escorted out of his building by security and that does not happen when contract negotiations go bad. The fact that nothing has come out publicly leads me to believe that OPD was relieved of their duties on this. This is too high profile not to have OPD brag about a big bust like this.
Innocent until proven guilty - even if you are a crappy weatherman.

As I said elsewhere, I had heard the rumors were the handwork of weatherman Brick Tamland of KVWN.

You know he was escorted out of the building how? Why because you read it in a forum post. And you are throwing around hear say from yet a forum post. I seen him a few days ago at the mall laughing and joking with his wife, he also made a post stating he has never been to any massage parlor or spoke to any investigators. Im guessing the channel is doing cut backs and he is highly paid look at all the other casters that have left in the last 7 months. But if we want to go with rumors I seen olsomio rubbing mcnights butt at a party the old quarter back sneek.
Gotta love rumors.

Actually, being escorted out of the building is standard procedure for many places if a person is fired, nothing else has to be going on.
Agree with farmstud, it is so typical of the corporate world and has been for quite some time, as in decades. No pun intended, but being escorted out of the building means nothing.

Does it really matter? Do we want our names plastered all over if we were arrested. Should our names end up on billboards? No! just because he has a job that is on TV doesn't mean he shouldn't be awarded the same personal privacy that we enjoy. It boils down to, it is none of our business.
