Then reach out to her, and ask for her advice. Then listen to what she has to say with an open mind. You only get to be the new girl once, use it to your advantage.

So, here's my worthless two cents.

This is a small community. As a recent arrival on the scene some of its members have tested you and agreed that your skills fill a desire.

But, you have to expect some to push back when you make blanket statements condemning the community's members while also having business practices not generally accepted.

Additionally, don't whine about a NCNS. Everyone here deals with them. Pass the relevant info to the ones that need to know and move on.
