OK... is it OK for guys to share PM's with other providers?
I had that happened to me.Please let me know the rules about that..I told a mod about that and they didn't do anything about that.Do mods choose who to point and who not to point?

Mods give points for stuff that happens on Eccie. They wisely don't get involve in hearsay subjects that occur outside of Eccie. And what one person supposedly tells another person, regardless of subject matter, off of Eccie is not Mod territory.

What is up lately with people getting all butt hurt about what others may or may not be saying about them???

I would imagine most of these folks are the biggest gossip talkers, and then when it comes back and bites them in the ass we get the..."{poor me victim" nonsense

If you are going to play the "gossip game", then be a mature adult so when gossip or secret sharing is turned on you....don't be a cry baby and run to the Mods, or anyone else, for help or symphathy

I don't know if it's ok to share, so from a rules and regulations standpoint, my reply here is useless.

But there's only so much Eccie can do. Even if sharing PM's were against the rules on Eccie, there isn't really any way to stop a person…. there are ways around everything. It'd soon become your word against their word, a long line of he said she said, and who's on who's side, and a huge mess.

This may be one of those chalk it up lessons. I always assume what a person tells me is being told to me in confidence, but not everyone operates that way.

I would lean towards playing it safe. Imagine worst case scenario. If what I type were to be copied and pasted and made public, would it humiliate me? Would it embarrass me? Would it damage a friendship or burn a bridge?

Anything shared, even if just with 1 person, has the potential to be made public for anyone and everyone out there to see, manipulate, twist around, or used against you.

The 'forget I said anything" option doesn't work for veteran posters...whether you like it or not.

Never say anything on the internet, regardless if its in pm, email, etc that you don't want someone else to read, or hear about or talk about.

PM's are SUPPOSED to be private, but unfortunately nothing on this board is as much as we would all like to believe. I don't know what they can do to the perpetrator unless he posts it on the boards publicly. I'm sorry that happened to you Kaylen, a breach of trust is always deeply disappointing.
