The cops do not care, they will pop you make up a charge and you will spend big bucks on a lawyer, even if it gets dismiised and never goes to trial, and you still have an arrest record.
Our hero needs to take a close look at Texas Penal Code 38.15 subsection (d).

"(d) It is a defense to prosecution under this section that the interruption, disruption, impediment, or interference alleged consisted of speech only."

Sounds like he's got a pretty good defense...

Did you read the police report? He endangered the life of the officer simply by talking. If talking can kill a cop, imagine what wouldve happened if he had played loud music or honked the horn.
