What I have found on this board is that for the most part the ladies know their own skin and wear it. Whatever shape, size and color that is something that they put out in front of us and they have to own it.

I thank goodness that Miss PK, Yazmin4U and TxPeach are who they are, look the way they do, and are here for our co-mingling pleasure.

They understand that they are the 'naughty' treats or pleasures that some have to see BCD, and I know with at least one she gets off on it. And I know all three are cool with it. It is the way it is.

Now there are many reasons to see or not see any of the ladies on the board and that is our prerogative.

But to limit a choice based strictly on skin color...my gosh have you never seen how lovely a young woman can be when contrasting against your own skin?

If the choice is based on skin color, would you not see Latinas?

Or a Caucasian with a deep dark tan?

Or is it based on something deeper than skin color?

I apologize for the rant, your choices and reasons for who you see is all yours, and as long as you aren't stepping on anyone else's rights while stating or living your own, I'll respect that it is your choice.

And yeah, there use to be a guy with a really hot chick that I absolutely creamed over, but in no way did I think it was him.

Avatars are meant to project something that we feel about ourselves, an image that we want to portray, a personal statement about life, or even a warped sense of humor. Was NovaTX wrong? I don't know, but if I want to see what she looks like, I'll go to her Showcase.

If nothing else, this has been a good discussion topic, even if started just to call someone out.

I understand that you are ALLOWED to mislead people with other pics. Not a practice I personally agree with.....

before I asked the question I asked a couple of others what they thought and their assumption was along the same as mine.....

What is the avg age of your clients?

I am sure MANY older men around here have the same image in their mind I have in mine when they hear "Lady GaGa".... Outlandish, gaudy outfits, over sized glasses..... blonde mostly.....

I think it is fairer to say that more will assume that you are the girl pictured than will know that is a picture of Lady GaGa.....

Only place her avi would be misleading would be if it was in her showcase.

This is why people should not make assumptions, perhaps trying a different approach such as educating yourself before sharing information with others would best sir. Otherwise you end up looking like a know it all who don't know shit..

Guys can see whomever they please. She said it didn't matter a bit to her, nor should it in my opinion.

I've dated a ton of guys who were absolutely opposed to dating someone of my ethnic group...but since they never noticed I actually was a part of that group, I never bothered to say anything. I just thought it was an interesting experience to see it from the other side. It actually opened my eyes a ton and ußyally in a good way.

Now I am not as up on Media Figures and did not recognize the face and I think the avg Joe would male the ASSUMPTION that it was her.

It all really boils down to safety/discretion. As long as the lady looks like the person in the photos she posts...I do not believe there is any harm done.
I personally do not believe a lady should post pictures IN HER SHOWCASE that are no where close to what she looks like, because in a sense that is "false advertisement". However, the avatar is OBVIOUSLY used to post pictures that suit the poster's personality.
I never send face pictures. But I always tell my gentlemen friends if they do not like what they see when they arrive, then they are more than welcome to leave. It is a matter of safety.
