The macroeconomics of douchebags.

Kinda got lost somewhere around the time folks started arguing that economic laws don't apply to economic transactions, near as I can tell. (Slothful induction ftw?)

But I'm up for an economic discussion, if we can drag it back to that. Austrian or Keynes? I'll admit I'm more of a von Mises than a Kreugman girl myself, but you do have to get different theories in to get a lively discussion!

Actually, you guys might like a book available on mises.org -- Defending the Undefendable. (Ignore the price--if you click on the PDF, it's free.) Basically an argument for how the Great Scourges (at least, the ones that don't involve theft and violence) of our day are really the result of market distortions rather than inherent sin. Good stuff. I've only read about 8 essays, but they've all been fun.
No. Neither is fudge packer.

So where is the economic theory in this thread? Looks like the OP hijacked his own thread. Originally Posted by pyramider

So, exactly how long are you going to wait? I'm curious... Originally Posted by Wakeuр

Note to OP: Don't fall asleep in class again when you re-take Economics 101.
I am a little curious what the word "market" means to you if it has nothing to do with supply and demand?

The providers will charge what they can get. What they can get is influenced by what the other providers are getting. When the phone stops ringing, they lower their prices. When they have more business than they can serve, they raise them.

So, how is supply and demand not a factor?
