Bar in Uptown?

I'm meeting a lady for the first time next week for drinks.

Can anyone recommend a bar or restaurant in uptown that's not too noisy or ridiculously expense? Something with a relatively quiet atmosphere where on doesn't have to shout to be heard?

I love the bar at the Ritz. The couches are so comfy and the patio is great.

My suggestions:

The Common Table, The Stoneleigh P, The Gingerman, The Library (at Warwick Melrose Hotel). None are considered expensive, and are appropriately casual for this kind of meet up. And all have very good food if your drinks turn into dinner (and won't bust your budget).

Quiet? IDK, all are popular and depends on what time and day; but shouting won't be necessary no matter what crowd is there.

Idle rich pub, nick and sam's grill, del Frisco grill

The Katy trail ice is nice. The common table and nick and SAMs are VERY noisy. The ritz is nice as is the melrose but are a little pricey. The stoneleigh hotel has a nice bar as well.

Try Henry's Majestic...

Another good one might be the Dragonfly Bar at the Hotel ZaZa.

CRU in West Village is intimate...

That PUBLIC SCHOOL is always interesting, but packed...

DEL FRISCO's patio - if the weather is good - but pricey.

UPTOWN PUB or (whatever they are calling "The Quarter" now) are probably the cheapest, but... are you trying to make a good impression? lol
