I remember so many day trips offshore....getting dropped off by helicopter at msy...... then running to the gate to catch a flight back to Houston.

No time to eat. But the Lucky Dog stand is always there right there in the terminal.

Then you have to decide:

-- can i go without?

-- will it kill me?

-- will i get sick on the plane? ....or on the drive home?

-- is the 5 minutes of pleasure worth the pain?

I've lived in the orient. They have a much different view of animals than we do. Much of their population starves so all items are on the table, including insects, worms and anything else that moves. I know it disgusts many of us, but as they say, when in Rome....

Yeah the first time I was in China one of the government officials I was with grabbed a live beetle out of a basket, took a bite and tossed it saying "Not fresh!" WTF?

On that same trip we were on our way to visit a factory about 3 hours outside of Shanghai and I remember the trucks on the road stacked high with the bones of what I think were dogs (it wasn't cattle!). Lost a lot of weight on that trip!

Sweet tebow! To be fair, its cultural, they used to view dogs as cheap protein not as pets. People still eat horses, guinee pigs, cats etc.The cow is sacred in india. However there is a change in that view of dogs as food in china due to the increase of richer chinese . Now they view dogs as status of wealth like the west, they see them now as pets. There is a movement going on now to stop the practice of eating dogs. They collect money and buy dogs from venders that are transporting them to market. So were i commend you on your stance, i cant see why you should conndem an entire race. But again its your right to do so.
