And for what it's worth, the mispronunciation of "corpsman" is unquestionably more excusable than bending the truth. One is a simple mistake. The other at least implies dishonesty.

Look, I like Ben Carson as a person. But nobody is perfect and it appears he got caught engaging in resume padding - something that far too many people seeking public office get involved in.
