May not be the government shutting ECCIE down. The way the legalese in the legislation is written, there's PERSONAL liability attached to the owner(s), admins, and even mods, who could be SUED by ladies who feel they were "trafficked" and/or "exploited" by ECCIE. The board may have no choice but to either drop some forums immediately after Trump signs off, or go dark until changes are made, options weighed.

Well, one way or another we'll see what happens after Trump signs. TER certainly thought there was reason to worry or they wouldn't have already dumped their US ads, and they were the closest board to ECCIE in terms of size and scope.

I wouldn't be too worried about that. You can't pass a law that prohibits something and then say anyone who was doing it before the law passed is guilty and will be prosecuted. That's blatantly unconsititutional. Ex Post Facto clause. Otherwise you could be guilty of doing things that weren't even illegal when you did them.

Just shows how "brilliant", or deceitful our congress is, that they would try to sneak that through.
