If you really love seafood you have to go to Oceanaire . It’s at the Galleria in the Weston hotel.

Another mile or so to Montlake Cut. A pretty good cross between the two. More extensive menu than TJ’s, though not as big as Oceanaire, but quality comparable to TJ’s. Better wine list than TJ’s and Oceanaire.

All three better than Pappadeaux’s or Nates.

DFW is over four hours from the coast thus there is no good seafood in DFW.

Now there are 2 TJ location, we are talking about the one at NE corner of Preston Road and Royal Lane for those who are not familiar with TJ.

Also for Chinese, Royal China next door has the best handmade from scratch noodles and dumplings and baozi buns.

They make the noodles and dumplings and baozi buns right in front of the diners when you order it.

He’s not a food snob at all. Just fake, as you suggest, or ignorant. You posted what I was going to post. Dallas has a reputation as a very good restaurant city.
There is a really good seafood place in Plano called Sea Breeze
