You can go to a website and call a number within 72 hours. I only know about two people that don't have a cellphone - born alcoholics with poor money management skills. Yeah go argue with border patrol on how you think you should be able to enter their country and see where that get's you. They can mandate whatever they want. I understand it is Canada. They are close by. But they are a foreign country that can let in whoever they want whenever they want. That's how borders are supposed to work.

I agree with you that is may not be a great idea but to say that a sovereign country can't mandate how you enter their country is foolish. Can't get in if you have a DUI either.
