That's just whattaboutism to distract from his historically low poll numbers. Plus, there's a thread around here somewhere about Dem pill numbers you can resurrect if you'd like.

Public opinion has also been negative on key policy areas. A Reuters/Ipsos poll found only 38% of Americans supported his move to deploy the National Guard in Washington, while 46% opposed it. His immigration policies had 43% approval, and only 37% supported his handling of the economy.
Underwater on his 3 core issues. Ouch

RECORD HIGH approval support for Trump - 45% ... Liberal AP...

... WINNING! ... ... ...

Looking more and more like their may need to be a pivot away from running in the economy. Trump may need to run away from the economy and all the Republicans who are tied to him as well. Those polls are abysmal

This is really going to be the only way to snap the cult out of it. Have them suffer for what they've done to this once-great nation. They did this to themselves (and all the rest of us, too).

Hit them right where it hurts (the wallet), and keep hitting them (in the wallet) over and over again. Don't stop hitting them (in the wallet) until they finally turn against Dear Leader. The sooner we get it over with, the sooner this nation can begin to heal.
Thank you President Trump.

It’s weird that people are so concerned about polling of a lame duck presidency. Polls are kinda fun right before an election, even though they’re wildly inaccurate most of the time, but giving a fuck 8 months in is pointless.

Historical analysis by Gallup.

Trump was previously reported to have a 36% approval rating in August 2017 and 40% for August 2025, both of which are lower than every single president since Ronald Reagan in August 1981. The full list of modern presidential approval ratings through their first eight months is included below:

Donald Trump (August 2025)- 40% approve
Joe Biden (August 2021)- 49% approve
Donald Trump (August 2021)- 36% approve
Barack Obama (August 2009)- 53% approve
George W. Bush (August 2001)- 56% approve
Bill Clinton (August 1993)- 44% approve
George H.W. Bush (August 1989)- 69% approve
Ronald Reagan (August 1981)- 60% approve

Last week, Trump's approval rating set a new low for his second term in the Quinnipiac University poll. The survey, which was conducted over a five-day span and concluded on August 25, had Trump at a 37% approval rating and a 55% disapproval rating, with a net negative 18-point approval rating, the lowest since January 2021, the final month of his first term in office.

The poll also marked a 21-point drop for Trump since his inauguration in January,
