When something sounds super ingratiating and highly swathed in gratitude etc., do you think it's really genuine?
Also- when has QATAR become the most powerful government in the world?
How did we let them become so influential in the world?

To answer your questions in order:
1. Yes, former Israeli P.M. Olmert is quite genuine in his praise of Trump. As a political rival of Netanyahu, he enjoyed seeing Bibi publicly forced to knuckle under to Trump's demand that he apologize to Qatar for attacking Hamas negotiators on Qatari soil.
2. Qatar is far from "the most powerful govt in the world". Lol - where do you come up with these silly hyperboles? Qatar isn't even Top Dog in the Persian Gulf. (Or as you put it so elegantly - "king shit in the neighborhood".) Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the UAE are wealthier.
3. The US doesn't control or decide which countries become more (or less) influential in the world. Qatar has a small population (under 3 million) and huge natural gas fields which it has been developing for decades. It is currently the world's 3rd largest exporter of LNG, after the US and Australia. Being such a big energy supplier makes it influential.
I wish you would do a little more homework before you post. Here's a helpful wikipedia link:
