I'm not defending them or "crying" for them. These MAGA-typical exaggerations and deflections don't help make your point. Neither does the cartoonish tough guy hyperbole.

I'm defending their rights. And it is beyond U.S. Constitutional rights. Way beyond.

What is sad that you ignore the problem in the USA and will not support treatment for addicts which has a helluva smaller cost than try and bomb the beejeebers out of any and all that you *think* is a threat.

Address the problem here and you will find there is no market and the problem disappears. Too easy, right?

And you don’t know it’s not. You really don’t. You are relying on the word a bunch of politicians who’ve proven they’ll say or do anything, as long as it’s the opposite of what the current president says or does.

Your blind complicity to d*** cartels responsible for untold harm to our citizens only lends them credibility, and diminishes your own.

I’ll err on the side of saving Americans, you err on the side of whatever helps you sleep at night. Originally Posted by Jacuzzme

That is what the maggie cult of sheeple blindly do whenever donny vomits another lie from those fat jowls.

Not according to the guy you previously quoted.

Not that I don’t agree, if they’re US citizens who committed a crime on US soil. That’s not the case here. Foreigners clandestinely bringing things into the country, that are every bit as deadly as things that go boom, is an act of war and should be treated as such. Originally Posted by Jacuzzme

Jacuzz is rage lying.

Things are looking more and more like the fat fucking fascist felon won’t finish the term, maybe beyond 2026.

They’re trying to out-ugly the truth, which is uglier even that the shit Trump posts on his comically-named social propaganda platform.

Hegseth’s behavior is a major contributing factor. He’s going to be held accountable. Hopefully charged for mass murder. Both of them.

Rage? LOL. I’m in complete agreement with blowing smugglers to smitherines. Giddy ≠ rage. The only rage is from you apologists who apparently care more about foreign cartels, who have no constitutional rights, especially in international waters, than Americans. Fuck em. They could be drawn and quartered in Times Square on pay per view for all I care.

When was the Department of War created?

On August 7, 1789, during the very first session of Congress, President George Washington signed legislation creating the Department of War. Also known as the War Office (a term borrowed from the British), the Department of War was primarily in charge of the Army. The Navy got its own Cabinet-level department in 1798, which also oversaw the Marines.

The first secretary of war was Henry Knox, a close aide to Washington during the Revolutionary War who was already serving as secretary at war under the Articles of Confederation.

The new Department of War replaced the Board of War and Ordnance, which Washington established in 1776 to administer the military during the Revolution.

What’s the significance of the National Security Act of 1947?

World War II required unprecedented levels of coordination across the different branches of the U.S. military to fight on land, sea and air. After the war—as the Soviet Union emerged as a threat—President Harry Truman signed the National Security Act of 1947, a major restructuring of U.S. military administration.

First, the act replaced the Department of War with the Department of the Army. Next, it created the U.S. Air Force as its own branch, separate from the Army. Then all four branches of the military were merged under a single organization called the National Military Establishment.

Under the 1947 law, the head of the National Military Establishment (NME) was the secretary of defense, a new Cabinet-level position. The defense secretary had to be a civilian or retired from the military for 10 years (later lowered to seven years). The first secretary of defense was James Forrestal, former secretary of the Navy.

When did it become the Department of Defense?

The National Military Establishment didn’t last long. Just two years later, Truman signed a series of amendments to the National Security Act that replaced it with the Department of Defense.

this is a symbolic name change which means nothing at all

NO ONE is "defending" these people.

Not in terms of committing crimes (alleged!).

Nobody said that at all.

Us "butthurt" folk are saying that these acts are violations of human rights.

Your response is to keep repeating the lie above.

Stop misrepresenting what we are "supporting."

Even though it’s called the “War on Drugs” it’s not really a war but rather a police operation. Interdicting drug dealers is the responsibility of the Coast Guard and the police, not the navy or the army.

Also, you have anger at drug cartels for Americans dying, yet you support Trump, who sends his masked goons into the streets to murder and attack innocent Americans.

The recent change has not been approved by Congress, so amounts to nothing more than a dba that will cost taxpayers money to change the name on signs, website, and letterhead.

How we present ourselves, symbolically or not, makes a difference and at the time of the original name change we were the first and only nuclear power. The was a reason the name went from "War" to "Defense".

The term "Defense" was considered more appropriate for a nation aimed at preventing war.
President of Peace, right?

Hegseth projects an image of "war" rather than peace and is driving the country backwards. He needs to go.
