This is a common misconception. Many Americans believe like Omar that white men cause most deaths (homicides) in America. Apparently Elg shares that view -- see his thread about immigrants and crime.

But they're wrong. Actually black men commit more homicides. Non-Hispanic white men are "only" responsible for around 20% to 25% of homicides.

That said, Omar is spot on when she says we should be more fearful of white men than Islamic terrorists. ChatGPT couldn't find any instances of homicides committed by Islamic terrorists in 2023 or 2024 in the USA. White men committed thousands. Asian women committed dozens. Go after them!

So, by merely eliminating white men from the equation, the total number of homiacides could be reduced by 20%?

Her comments can logically be interpreted in many different ways in both the affirmative and the negative. Because it is coming out of her mouth, it will only be interpreted one way by MAGA which is obviously the negative. Wisely, I doubt she gives a flying fuck how they take it and click bait troll threads like this one are exactly why she shouldn't care.

Disagree. I never discussed or said anything about murder rates. Simply that in my area, if you follow police blotters, significantly more white people than immigrants commit crimes.

So white men are underrepresented in rape numbers. That’s not surprising, they tend to be so in nearly all crime statistics. On the other hand, black men are hugely over represented, as they tend to be in violent crime in general. It’s hard to include women in any demographic comparison, since they’re only a fraction of violent crime as a whole.
