How many "Johns" are there??

there were a few things that had me wondering.

kara..has a post in austin coed about the numbers of men to women in the hobby.
another gent...he called the guys "something" and said this wasnt a hobby..its just fucking!!! (loved it)
and then i saw the movie..i am #4 or something...and the guy went by "john smith" (and #6 was jane doe)

but it had me wondering...how many "johns" are there. a lot of times when guys call/text..or a girl is referring a guy to me..and says "john"..i need more info!! there are a ton of johns!!!

the ladies names are made up, of course. but guys....are most of you using a "hobby" name?
if you do...what makes you choose john? is it bc you have a sense of humor a lot like mine...or bc john will be easy to remember? very common?

Hi, I'm Oden-not John. It would be fun to research where John came from in terms of a name for male hobbyists. I hope it has nothing to do with a John Doe. I seem to recall that Brittany had done some research into the history of a directory of sex workers in San Antonio and a book published in the 1800's. I think the term at the time were patrons,but I could be wrong.

According to Wikipedia, Oden, (and we all know Wikipedia never lies) it has its origins in the term John Doe. Basically it it just used as a placeholder for someone wishing to remain anonymous. It could be worse though, what if the name tied its origins back to johns as in toilets....LOL

Hmmmm .... from a male/hobiest perspective, could "John" be short for "Johnson"?? i.e. slang for Penis, because all women know that:
1.) all men have 2 brains and
2.) they usually think with the smaller (anatomically lower) one.

Item 2.) above is most prevalant when we are in the presence of a very inticing, seductive female. (Which, after reviewing your profile, I'm convinced you are, Ms Kitty.)

After living in this world for 62 years, Ms Kitty, I guess my best advice to you is to be as suspicious of any men that initally introduce themselves to you (in any way) as "John", "Dick", "Harry", ..... (you get the idea) as I am of any woment that introduce themselves to me as "Kitty", "Honey Rider", "Ms. Trench", "Ms. Galore", "Tiffany Case", "Plenty O'Toole", "Mary Goodnight", "Xena Onatop" (the list goes on & on, in my dreams!)

I kind of use my real name and kind of a short nickname for it. I actually never thought of using the name John but it is kind of funny to use it for this. lol

Never had an issue giving a lady my real (first) name.

My real name is John and I use in when contacting the ladies. Should I use something else like "BigJohn", "JohnnyBGood", or maybe "John with a dick so hard a cat can't scratch it".

In the world that we live in here at Eccie all "hobbiest" are known as johns. It simply refers to a guy that pays a girl to fuck. Our names we use may be different but in the end we are "johns". That's not a bad thing mind you, I actually quite enjoy my time as a john = )
