Could we possibly?

Just a thought, or request.

When posting here at good old Eccie, could we ditch the txting "spellings" and use actual English? You know, you're or your instead of ur just for one example.

It's getting harder and harder to read and comprehend stuff around here due to piss poor spelling, grammar from hell, and now txting lingo.

Not much we can do about the first two, but the last one we damn sure can.

Semi rant off now.

I agree about curtailing the texting lingo. I do make some spelling mistakes every now and then when I type messages into my phone because my thumbs are too big and I forget to review my message before hitting the send button.

i do have to agree it is difficult at times, but am learning to read and understand the new lingos.

I would bet the vast majority of those kind of posts are done from phones, especially ones that do not have a full keyboard.

I am guilty!!!! Sorry y'all but I dnt have a computer and I use my phone for everything. Its just easier to shorten up some things bc my d.h starts to hurt ..lol (di*khand)..Even if I did have a computer I would still be guilty bc I write horribly but speak very well! Weird huh?

i think the ONLY thing i learned in 6th grade, was,
"writing is different than speaking"

in my opinion, this a board...not class nor work, so im guilty of not using punctuation
(instead of periods, i will just enter and start a new line. i rarely use apostrophes, hardly ever use uppercase ..unless my phone automatically does, etc)

however, i like to think im pretty articulate , however, ask me to write anything formal....and i get super stressed!! (i start going through my cell ph book, trying to figure out which friend would be good at writing about said topic....)
ive wondered if theres like writing workshops to help.
(i know i cant have someone write for me forever, or maybe i could....one of our more recent presidents sucked!!!...i digress )
