Are there any plans for a M&G here in the KC area this year?

Just wondering I see where other cities are planning theirs. I believe I asked a similar question last year or the year before but figured I was too new to get invited...

People have them. It is small groups. I went to one, was a complete waste of time business wise but a fun night anyway.

I would go to one if the person screening the potentials was someone I trusted.

Sounds like the ladies would love to have one but the fellas aren't really interested... Whether it be a big meet or a small group next time I would love to be invited.

I think if we threw some ideas around we could put something small together in a few weeks... Basically figure out who wants to come, get them screened. Decide on a location to meet for drinks and some fun. Nothing over the top, just several like minded individuals meeting at a bar on a slow night of the week having some laughs.

I wold be interested in getting to know you ladies outside of "work". Sign me up, send me a PM, etc...

So, who will be responsible for the screening? Are people going to trust that person enough to give them their info? Where are you going to have? Are you going to have it be open to anyone? What kind of dress code will you have?

And, I do not see a M&G as a venue for freebies, as that word pertains the activities that a person spends or earns money doing (or not doing).

Why so defensive about drinks and a good time, in a public place? LOL

Not defensive, its called being smart.

Think about it really hard, see what scenarios you come up.

Not hard to imagine the bad, but not hard to imagine a safe time either. It seems to you being smart and having fun are mutually exclusive... meeting a a bar like W-XYZ, for drinks and conv. can be fun if done with some smart planning. Heck, so LE shows up, can't arrest anyone for drinking and talking at a bar, can they?
