Should be an interesting 3 games. Both franchises are a few years removed from glory with unproven younger talent.

Word on ESPN radio this afternoon stated that Kobe is out the next 3 Laker games beginning with the Spurs.

We can't let our guard down.

Pop looked pretty grim in the postgame interview. I expect a much better effort tomorrow night against Memphis.

Bynum brought a big 'ol can of whop-ass and put it to the Spurs tonight. Second, third shot opportunities pretty much insured a Laker victory. Tough game to watch.

Statement game for the Lakers, wonder how the Spurs will respond.

The spurs are too small down low. If they face LA or Memphis in the playoffs it's game over for them. No consistent rebounding or inside presence. Besides the size disadvantage they're too offensively oriented. I know that they are hard to stop when they get going, but you can't just win games by offense. Defense has to be a priority. Teams we will face in the playoffs will make hard closeouts on our shooters and when the 3's don't fall anymore, there goes the offense. You live by the 3, you die by the 3. At that point they're going to have to make stops, and probably won't be able to. I'm just still wondering why we didn't get a big before the trade deadline.. Just being a realist.

Spurs were out rebounded. Bynum really played well.I bet the Spurs don't lose tomorrow!
Memphis was the team I thought we had to worry about...and still do, but darn those Lakers...Ugh! Aljan, you're right...Bynum was ON last night! Just kills me how many Lakers fans there are in SA! I had a silly woman with a purple wig and Laker's jersey sitting directly in front of me...was really wanting to pull it off! (lol)

The wig or the jersey? LOL

Next week wiil be critical, play them on Tues. in LA and Fri. here. Have to stay focus on tonights game first.
oh Nikki - they were all over the place last night......I thought there was a lot more "purple" over there in your section though...

I mentioned Bynum and Gasol the other night, but I gotta tell ya ==> World Peace was the show last night my friends...
that was definitely a good win tonight and folks - not sure how it looked on television - but there were times when I thought the Rampage were playing without the ice.
(Bonner hitting the deck was a perfect example)...

can only wonder how long the lines are for the whirlpools???
and let's see now since the Spurs are singing "California Here We Come"

tonight its the Golden State Warriors (22-37) @ home 12-17
and then tomorrow night against the Lakers (39-22) @ home 25-6
followed by the Kings (20-41) @ home 15-15
I stayed up and watched it as the Spurs won 120-99 over the Warriors.

Real test tonight at Staples Center as we have the Lakers. And whether Kobe plays or not ==> the trio of Bynum, Gasol and World Peace are an intimidating force.

Am hoping the spurs can find a way to take care of the other teams big men...if not, unfortunately, the playoffs will be a short run. Would like to see another championship for timmy before he retires! We need to win toniite to keep that #1 seed a in our favor!
