Dinner Date

I agree if you offer dinner packages and someone takes you up on it then you are "on" as you put it, but to mention are you relaxed when we are on a businees lunch I imagine we are as relaxed as you are on a provider date since your putting on your "A" game as you put it. When the dinner is off the clock as I have experienced there is not game at all just real appetites with two people talking about whatever. When I am out of town, I try to book a 2 hour date at the proivders' usual 2 hour rate. I request a one hour bcd appetizer, followed by a relaxing off the clock dinner at a nice restaurant (not Burger King!). Then we cap the evening with one hour bcd dessert. The timing matches my libido, so to speak.

I offer this arrangement to the provider in detail so there will be no misunderstanding. The only provider that wanted $$ for dinner was in Dallas, and I thanked her but went elsewhere... no hard feelings.

The first time I did this, it was suggested by the provider (in south Texas). Since then, I have requested the arrangement when I am seeking a multi-hour date. The lady has the absolute right to decline if it doesn't fit her business plan... certainly no hard feelings on my part...

Maybe I'm so charming, the ladies can't resist... (or maybe the provider just enjoys a nice dinner with an older gentleman).

Took one out for drinks and it was great. It was more like a night off for her.

Agreed. My favorite as well. They become even more enjoyable when I've seen the lady before. Just the familiarity factor, I suppose. And always at the hotel restaurant for me, or one in the immediate area.

My counsel? Gentlemen, be sure the lady understands that YOU understand that dinner is also paid companionship. When the expectations are understood upfront, both relax a bit more and the friendship formed over dinner almost always makes for a better dessert.

The easiest way is simply to book a four hour session and suggest that it begin with dinner. I will then mention that "I regret that I must wind up our date around 10:00pm." Never had a problem.
