You are comparing Dan Quayle with Joe Biden. That is laughable. Quayle misspelled the word "potato" and the press dismissed him as a lite weight. Biden sticks his foot in his mouth just about every other day and gets a pass from the liberal press. Originally Posted by NiceGuy53

Quayle really got the shaft on that "potato" issue. He was given the "correct" spellings by the teacher before the competition. The teacher had it spelled wrong on the answer guide. What was Quayle to do? If you look at his face when it happened, it's plain to see that he was in a quandary. Does he embarrass the teacher in front of the students? He opted for the gentlemanly thing to do. He supported the teacher, in order for the children to not lose respect for her.

Quayle did the right thing. The media blew it all out of proportion and context.

If anybody other than a Dem would have used the phrase Biden did they would have been crucified.

Personally, I can't find any logical reason why Biden was picked as VP in the first place. Hillary actually would have made a much better choice, but then I also think she was a better choice for Pres.

There, I fixed that for you.

Speaking of politicians who have problems with spelling, check out this hilarious photo showing Obama with a group of Ohio State University students having trouble spelling the word "Ohio" using the old YMCA routine.

When Obama sticks his foot in his mouth, he is usually not using a teleprompter or he goes off the cuff from his prepared remarks. One of his campaign aides should have been holding up a big flash card with "Ohio" spelled out correctly. LOL.

Also notice how the Washington Post tried to cover for Obama by falsely claiming that the photo was photoshopped. If this would have been President Bush, they, along with the rest of the liberal press, would have been all over this story, like flies on shit.
For a Republican, one major gaffe, and you're finished. Just look at Todd Akin. One stupid remark, and he's under siege..... Originally Posted by joe bloe

Probably not in Houston in K.C. it plays often...
