1. What is the best (lowest fees, etc.,) pre-paid credit card available?


2. Where can these cards be purchased?


3. How much personal information is required to buy such a card?


4. Could one be purchased under a hobbyist handle?

At Walgreens you can buy a Vanilla Visa for up to $500. No information is required but it is not prepaid (as in you can't add to it). When you use it up you just go buy another one. It is like a gift card and can be used online or anywhere Visa is used.

You might try cash cards. They cost $4.95 and you just give the cashier whatever amount of cash you wish to put on them. They are also reloadable and anonymous. I have seen them at Walgreens and CVS drug stores.

i think green dot cards are better than most

green dot will require a full social and other info to validate you as a us citizen.......kinda safe i guess.

I usually use this option for ladys prepay deposits, or western union with ladies comfortable enough.Or if I choose to carry less money on me to the date.

Oh I meant to tell you that the Visa gift cards at WalMart you have to register now. Use to you didn't. So that is why I suggested the Vanilla Visa card.

I use the Vanilla Visa cards also to place ads and such. They are great..just go online when you get it and register a fake name and a legit zip code and they are ready to use online. It is the zip code they use to match for being legit. And you can always check your balance online...very discreet.

You are right about the green dot cards. I tried to use it once because they were re-loadable. They asked me to mail in a copy of my drivers license for personal verification...uhhhh NOT...I don't think so!!!

And you are welcome. I personally do not register mine and it works for me. Not sure you can check the balance but what I do is when I know it is getting low I use it when at say Wal Mart or something like that.
