Texas should be prepared for another 5-7 or 6-6 season. The defense may possibly be worse, though I don't know how much worse they can be than last year. Oh wait, they lost the only good defensive linemen to the draft, and have a walk-on in their two deep chart. Buechle looked ok in the spring game, but he has no one to provide protection, which means he will be hurt by game 3.
The best hope Texas has is 6-6 so they can fire Strong and get Herman from UH.

as long as chucky is the coach and has his buddy as the def. cord. the horns will never win. all of the chucky supporters should relish this season, hopefully it will be his last!! he only signed over hyped recruits that will not pan out and or not get the coaching they would get elsewhere!!! after another losing season what will the chucky supporters be saying? hopefully not that he needs another year to develop his team. he should have been fired after the notre dame game last year!!! I have sold my season tickets for this year and will not go to another game until chucky is gone!!!! he might be a nice guy but he definitely is not a good coach. maybe he should go into community organizing or public relations, because he sure has made a fool out of the whole program and the state of texas!! now lets here it from the keyboard jockeys

The most surprising thing about Strong is the recruiting.... I was thinking He would keep the solid core of in state players and bring in a few difference makers from Fl every year....but it looks like the recruiting world shifted around ....( I am an LSU guy, we are stuck with a coach that recruits great players and turns them into mediocre 1970s style teams .. they could not fire him last year because of state budget and politics).... I am pulling for Strong to come through....he has to start out with beating ND to get the pressure off a bit and win 10 games to keep his job I think... hey he had a couple of real tough teams at Louisville..... I hope the Longhorns turn around... we have a home and home with yall in 19 and 20
