Agreed.
Avarice is one of the deadly sins, right?

Or at least avarice can be good depending on how it's channeled. Gates built one of the largest companies in the world, with a market cap of $1.9 trillion. Who's better off because of Gates' avarice?
Microsoft employees
Microsoft customers. A huge number of people use their products every day.
Microsoft shareholders, who were along for the ride
Millions of children in developing countries who benefitted from Gates' philanthropy, oriented towards vaccines, life-saving medications, alleviation of hunger, etc.
Children in the USA who benefitted from his educational efforts here
Many believe it's appropriate to tax the hell out of the billionaire who's richer than they'll ever be. Gates shows why they're wrong. Would Microsoft exist in its present form if Elizabeth Warren's 8% wealth tax had been around? And think about how much more good Gates' money does when he spends it than if he forked it over to the federal government, and it spent it. Hooray for billionaires like Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, and the Koch Brothers. We're better off with them than without them.
One group of people who aren't benefitting from Gates' genius and generosity are the Canadians. Gates is a peace loving man. He doesn't support war machines.
